The Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE) is pleased to invite members to its forthcoming September Technical/Business Meeting, scheduled for Tuesday, 15 September 2026, at the Iris Hall, Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, with virtual participation.
The theme, Leveraging Integrated Subsurface Evaluation and Real-Time Drilling Intelligence to Maximize Reservoir Value and Optimize Well Delivery: A Case Study of Utor-40 Well Drilling, Utorogu Field, OML-34.
The technical session will examine the application of integrated subsurface evaluation and real-time drilling intelligence in improving reservoir understanding, supporting well delivery, and maximising asset value. Using the Utor-40 well drilling in the Utorogu Field, OML-34, as a case study, the discussion will provide practical perspectives on the integration of geoscience, drilling, and real-time operational data in decision making.
The session will feature technical presentations by Dr. Christopher Asuquo Jackson, Head of Geoscience (AMT), ND Western, and Francis Effiong, Well Engineer, ND Western. The session will be chaired by Fatai Folorunso Kareem, FNAPE, Coordinator, Upstream Projects, NNPC Ltd.
The meeting will offer an additional opportunity for members, professionals, students, and industry stakeholders to engage with experienced practitioners and gain practical insights into drilling intelligence, well delivery, and reservoir optimisation.
